Georgia is one of the interesting locations for doing business with its location, geopolitical situation and domestic infrastructure. IT become regional hub for companies looking to expand in the Black Sea, Caucasus, and Caspian region. Georgia comes to be a transit corridor with strategic access to the sea and a door to Europe, connecting China to the European continent, which is due to its location on the “Silk Road”.
Attracting new and expanding businesses to Georgia caused by investor and business friendly regulations, also with a stable economic environment and competitive operating costs, contribute significantly to Georgia’s manufacturing, and trading development.

The Association Agreement with EU was signed and ratified in 2014, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). Additionally, on 27th of June 2016, Georgia signed FTA with EFTA countries, giving Georgian products duty-free access to markets of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
General Schemes of Preference for Georgia with the US, Canada, and Japan have also been applied for. Georgia has signed a Free Trade Agreement with Turkey, China and Hong-Kong; Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and China has come into play on January 1, 2018, making Georgia the first country in the region to have such a deal with China.
Georgia has one of the most liberal labor environments not only in the region but globally. Average monthly salary in Georgia is approximately 410-420 USD, which is relatively low compared to the average salaries of other European countries. Therefore, the costs of potential skillful staff are extremely competitive.
The fact that obtaining a residence and work visa is one of the most important things for a businessman is noteworthy. The visa policy of Georgia became comparatively liberal, allowing citizens of 98 countries to enter, reside, work and study in Georgia without the necessity to obtain either visa or residence permit. In addition, the Georgian Government approved the list of 50 countries whose visa and/or residence permit holders may enter Georgia without a visa for an appropriate period and under appropriate conditions.
